Dry Needling
About
Dry Needling is a treatment that involves the use of fine filament (acupuncture) needles to release tight, painful muscles.
Unlike acupuncture, the needles are inserted into trigger points within muscles. Trigger points are the firm "knots" or "ropey" areas in the muscle that cause muscular pain, stiffness and dysfunction.
Dry needling aims to release trigger points and increase blood flow to the muscle, this in-turn assists the body’s natural healing process.
